Creativity & Abundance
Creativity & Abundance.
I recently received a passive aggressive comment about “copying” another artists' idea. It was a comment that really stopped me in my tracks, and sparked my curiosity about inspiration for art.
I’ve been working on creating my own business, and while working with my coach she encouraged me to search keywords, to find accounts that inspired me and so I could start creating my own ideas.
As I tried to understand why this person felt compelled to say, what I consider, a hurtful comment I realized that this comes from a feeling of scarcity or of a lack mentality. There is an unbelievable amount of abundance in our world, when we are living from a place of abundance, we are not threatened by someone creating something similar to us. While I could understand being upset if someone copied a drawing, painting, or an art piece exactly, I don’t think ideas are meant for one person.
My intention is to guide women back to wholeness, back to themselves and if any other women thinks that is copying another artist, they have lost sight of the mission, they have allowed their ego to overshadow the actual work.
It’s more important than ever that women uplift one another, provide words of encouragement, and hell even collaborate and create together. We have seen where individualism gets us, look at the current state of the world. We can trace individualism to the root of our suffering, we are meant to be in community together.
No one can ever steal your creativity, as women we do have healing to do around our work being stolen. The work doesn’t include knocking other women down. It’s time to rise above feelings of competitiveness, jealousy, and lack mentality. We are all worthy of creating the life of our dreams, and sharing our art with the world.
