A Single Red Rose

A single red rose.

Have you ever tried connecting to a love one on the otherside? 

I have been lugging around a beautiful antique mahogany dresser set that belonged to my great grandparents. They have traveled with me from Saint Louis, to Kansas, and multiple homes in California. Recently my partner and I decided to quit our jobs, sell all of our belongings, and travel for the rest of the year.

These dressers have carried incredible sentimental value to me, they were the first piece of furniture my great grandparents purchased when they got married. Needless to say, I have never consider rehoming them. This has created quite the dilemma- ya know- trying to live with no belongings and travel- worry free.

I have been reading this book, Spirit the Secret Language of the Universe by Laura Lynne Jackson. She talks about communicating with the otherside by asking for a specific sign. So, as I sat staring at one of the two dressers I decided to pray to my great grandparents. I asked for them to send me a sign to let me know if it was ok to part ways with the dressers. I asked for a single red rose.

A few hours later, my friend calls to let me know she’d like to buy my couch and pick it up that evening. She stops by and brings Kim Kran’s new Alchemy card deck. She says, “I just had to bring this deck, I’d love for you to pull a card!” so I did. Low and behold, the card I pull has a single red rose.
